NASPE/NCATE Beginner Teacher Standard 6:
Professionalism

Physical education teacher candidates demonstrate dispositions essential to becoming effective professionals.


Upon completing my EDU 265: Field Experience 60 hours of observation I was required to attend a professional interview. Being interviewed by two heads of the Physical Education Department screams nothing short of professionalism. Speaking clearly, making eye contact, dressing appropriately, and making coherent connections between standards and experiences is essential when conveying an experience that holds meaning to a teacher candidate.
