Standard 1: Scientific and Theoretical Knowledge
Physical education teacher candidates know and apply discipline-specific scientific and theoretical concepts critical to the development of physically educated individuals.
During my teacher candidate journey my experience working with students in PED 201: Motor Development opened the door as well as my eyes to my new world. Being placed in St. Mary's after school program was a valuable experience that i have grown from. Interacting with grades K-6, allowed me to get comfortable with taking control of a class to lead them through small games and activities as well as allowed me to observe the fundamentals and motor skills of young learners.
