NASPE/NCATE Beginner Teacher Standard 5:
Impact on Student Learning

Physical Education teacher candidates utilize assessments and reflection to foster student learning and inform instructional decisions.



During PED 434: Statistics & Assessment, I have developed the skill to correctly observe and assess skills and actions made by learners. Not only have i learned to observe correctly I understand the difference between corrective and positive feedback. Understanding the difference allows me to correct bad or incorrect form. Also this experience has taught me to think quickly on my feet when i need to change or correct activities that are not successful.
